A special rally held to raise money for Help for Heroes has been won by driver Gary Le Coadou, who was at the wheel of his Toyota Corolla WRC for the event.
Le Coadou triumphed in the London Rally for Heroes over the weekend along with his co-driver Paul Hollingham, reports This is the West Country.
But more importantly, by the time the rally started, more than £12,000 had already been raised for the military charity, rally director Rick Smith confirmed.
The winning duo collected almost £600 between them, and their mood improved further when they were quickest in 16 of the 21 stages held across the south of England.
Le Coadou said: "To go rallying and raise the money that everyone has for a cause like Help for Heroes is magnificent. It's been a great event and one that means a lot."
Defence secretary Philip Hammond was on hand in Weybridge on Friday (April 26th) to get the rally underway.
