Soldiers looking to take their girlfriend to heaven and back with some amazing bedroom action may not want to bother looking for the famous G-spot, as new research suggests it might not even exist.

According to boffins at King’s College London, the area, which some women claim to have, might be a figment of their imagination.

It means troops hell-bent on finding it may have been wasting their time and feeling guilty for no reason at all.

Co-author Tim Spector, who studied more than 1,800 ladies, said that there’s no evidence that there is this magical area which promises mind-blowing orgasms.

"Women may argue that having a G-spot is due to diet or exercise, but in fact it is virtually impossible to find real traits. This is by far the biggest study ever carried out and it shows fairly conclusively that the idea of a G-spot is subjective," he added.

Soldiers may want to bear this in mind when they go in search of the love of their lives this year, which according to research by CitySocialising, is the second most-popular New Year’s resolution for male troops.
