A man will ride from Bristol to London in order to raise money for Help for Heroes (H4H).

John Billitteri has set himself the challenge as he looks to collect cash for the military charity, the Bristol Post reports.

It is the latest in a long line of tasks he has taken part in, including trekking to near the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and later doing a tandem skydive.

These two events have raised over £44,000 and he is looking to add to this total by getting on his bike.

Mr Billitteri said: "I am now in training for the ride and am planning to promote it all around Bristol. I'm also planning a ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare to raise some extra funds."

The 54-year-old has been supporting H4H for the past four years and he is keen to do his bit to help the military charity as it seeks to assist injured troops.
