Blind Veterans UK is offering people the chance to take on an interesting challenge this Halloween following on from an event it hosted last year. The military charity – which supports blind and visually impaired veterans in the UK – is daring people to attend its new woodland theatre experience called Trapped.

The show aims to scare and shock attendees with a live horror film in the woodland surrounding the charity's Llandudno centre. People going to the event should expect blood and terror from October 26th to 28th, with shows starting at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm on those days.

Last year, Blind Veterans UK hosted an event called Into the Woods, which was attended by almost 100 people. This show sold out really quickly and got a great response so the charity is urging those who want to attend Trapped to book their tickets as soon as possible.

Trapped – which has been written especially for the charity by local actor Joe Pedder – is a 40-minute guided walk into the woodlands with plenty to make you jump.

Regional fundraiser at Blind Veterans UK, Victoria Beech, said: “Following on from the success of last year’s theatrical event ‘Into the Woods’ we have been receiving calls asking if we will be doing another horror experience since the beginning of September.

“We don’t want to give too much away but we will say that this year’s event is even more horrifying than last year with the participants having to use brains and bravery to avoid being ‘Trapped’."

All tickets need to be pre-booked by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01292 864574. They cost £13 per person – tickets are only available to those aged over 16 – with the proceeds going toward the charity, which will enable them to help more veterans living with visual impairments.

Those attending the event are advised to wear sensible footwear that is waterproof, as well as warm, old clothes. While ponchos are going to be provided to everyone, Blind Veterans UK has also suggested that a change of clothes should be brought as things are likely to get a bit bloody.
