There are lots of different way to approach your dating site profile snaps. For fun, here are five types of commonly seen photo, with some reasons why you might want to mix things up a bit if your snaps all fall into one of these categories!

The super-serious pose

Some of us feel like we'll look more attractive by striking a serious, model-like pose. While this can certainly look good sometimes, it's also not very approachable and friendly seeming! It's a good idea to use snaps of yourself smiling, too, so that people know you're a fun person – not just someone who constantly looks immaculate!

The silly snap

All your pictures involve something a bit silly and childish, or a whacky expression. In some ways, this is the opposite of the type of photo above. A silly pic can be good fun, but remember to have some 'sensible' ones too!

The digital enhancement portfolio

Lots of filters going on in snaps can certainly look arty, but may also make you wonder how accurate the images are. It's better to use photos that honestly show how you look without the help of modern photography tools.

The constant close-up

Some people seem only to use snaps that show you an extreme close-up of their face – so that it's hard to put their features into context. Close ups can be fine, but people will want to be able to see what you look like from a bit of a distance, too!

The one-location photo shoot

It looks more natural to use snaps from more than one spot, so it might be best to avoid uploading a string of photos all of which seem to have been taken in the same room, on the same day. ADNFCR-2867-ID-801744410-ADNFCR
