A first-time novelist is giving the profits from the online sales of his debut novel to Help for Heroes (H4H).

Steve Vorley has written a book called Predatory and it is available to purchase on Amazon for Kindle users, the Bury Times reports.

He chose to support the military charity because his brother and grandfather both served in the armed forces and so he is hoping to raise as much money as possible.

"I want readers to feel that not only are they getting a bargain, but at the same time they are doing a little bit of good for such a worthy cause," Mr Vorley stated.

It is expected that 36p from each download sale of the 260-page novel will go to H4H.

Predatory – which took Mr Vorely seven drafts to complete – is described by the author as a contemporary fantasy that is X-Men meets Jason Bourne.
