A group of firefighters in Aldridge, Walsall have confirmed they will be hosting a special bake sale in aid of charity.
The officers from Aldridge Fire Station will be donning their aprons and making cakes today (April 10th) in order to raise funds for Help for Heroes, reports the Walsall Advertiser.
Colin Ward, a watch commander at the station, said the charity is one that it has been keen to support for some time.
"A lot of our firefighters are from previous careers in the army so for them, it's a charity that is close to their own heart," he stated.
The firefighters are expected to put around 150 cakes up for sale and hope that members of the public will turn up to buy them.
They hold the sale at the station in Northgate every year and it usually raises about £300 for the charity.
