The dad of a teenage soldier injured in a training exercise while stationed in Kenya has thanked the Royal British Legion for all the help it has given his boy.

Liam Morrell was left paralysed from the waist down and after hearing about his plight, the legion dug deep and helped him set up his own home in Llanelli, thisissouthwales.co.uk reported.

His dad Shaun said that his son would be nowhere if it wasn’t for the good people at the legion and all the sterling work they have done.

"The Royal British Legion were fantastic. They gave him all the furniture: a bed, fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine and TV and £800 towards everything else like cups and saucers, lights, curtains etc," he told the news provider.

In other news, Carl Lowes, who lost his leg in Afghanistan, recently completed the second round of auditions for the next Big Brother series, the Telegraph and Argus reported.
