An exercise class attended by a number of men has been held to raise cash for Help for Heroes.

The zumba session generated more than £200 for the charity and took place at Compass Health and Fitness, the Scarborough Evening News reports.

Instructor Christina Ingham said: "To add even more pressure, the 20 men who took part in fancy dress had a large crowd of wives and girlfriends watching who found it hilarious."

The dance style incorporates South American music, as well as some modern hits, with a variety of moves, but the classes are often dominated by women, Ms Ingham explained.

She went on to say that she is pleased to have donated the cash to Help for Heroes, as it does "fantastic work" for people all over the country.

Meanwhile, a group of three individuals are collecting money for the same cause by arranging to scale Mount Kilimanjaro in honour of their friend who was injured in battle, as reported by the Bournemouth Echo.
