Expert offers tips on how to date an environmentalist

With the issue of climate change becoming an increasing concern for many, online daters may find they meet up with someone who is passionate about environmental issues – and an expert has offered tips on how to impress them.

Writing for the Huffington Post, Karin Kloosterman noted daters may find it easier to seduce that perfect 'green' someone if they are conscious of their views on a number of matters.

The specialist noted environmentalists can be specific in the food they choose to eat, so people should endeavour to find out prior to a first date whether their prospective partner has particular eating habits, such as vegetarianism.

She added wearing vintage clothing could also be a good idea, noting: "While some singles like their dates to be wearing the trendiest, newest duds out there, you are probably more likely to catch an environmentalist's eye by wearing second-hand vintage clothing."

Chicago Now journalist Jessica Downey recently advised against guys sending their phone number in a first message to a girl when online dating, as the action could make them seem too pushy.
