An ex-soldier is keen to show his support for the armed forces by raising money for Help for Heroes.

Shaun Clark embarked upon a brave project in 2009, when he decided to get every single name of each serviceman and woman killed on duty inked onto his body.

He now has some 383 names written across his legs, chest and back as a mark of respect to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Mr Clark heads to the tattoo parlour on Remembrance Day at exactly 11:00 GMT each year in order to add to his list and the painful feat has so far raised £4,500 for Help for Heroes.

"I have friends who have served in Afghanistan. I wanted to keep what is going on over there in people's minds," he says.

Earlier this year, tattooist Jason Ling from Petersfield geared up for a record-breaking attempt of marking more than 800 people in 24 hours with an emblem of Help for Heroes, in a bid to raise money for the charity, the Petersfield Post reported.
