To raise money for wounded troops, one ex-serviceman is putting the public through their paces.
According to the North Wales Weekly News, former soldier Neil Grew of Llanfairfechan will be challenging civilians to an eight-mile tab to generate cash for Help the Heroes.
The charity, which supports injured servicemen and women upon their return from conflict, has been in the headlines recently due to the finalists of The X Factor releasing a single – Heroes – in order to amass the pennies for the organisation.
But people like Mr Grew are also taking it upon themselves to help out the cause.
It is expected that the walk on December 12th will attract some 20 people – and they have been asked to do it in two hours or less.
"I am an ex-serviceman and I know the work charities like Help for Heroes do. I don't think the general public has a clear enough idea of the work the services do," he explained.
