Eva Longoria: I believe online dating works

People around the world who are contemplating the idea of turning to online dating have been urged to give it a go by actress Eva Longoria.

The Desperate Housewives star explained that one of her best friends has found love via the internet, confirming her faith in the method.

Commenting on her pal and her man, Longoria said: "She's getting married this year … They're perfectly matched for each other, they're really a great couple."

Despite her backing of the online dating scene, the actress explained she is still being set up on dates by her friends, so has not yet turned to it herself.

However, should she not find love any time soon, it may pay for Longoria to sign up with a leading online dating site, where she will be put in touch with thousands of potential partners.

There is sure to be no shortage of men keen to take Longoria out on a romantic date after meeting online.
