Shoppers are being asked to show their support for soldiers by buying a special-edition box of eggs.

The Eggs for Soldiers product has been launched by Noble Foods in a bid to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

Consumers who buy a box of the eggs, which went on sale in Tesco on Monday (April 4th), will see 15 pence of the money donated to the charity, which helps members of the armed forces who have been injured while on duty.

A spokesperson said: "We hope that people will see these packs and realise it's so easy to support the brave men and women who … know that they may risk it all for our country."

A dedicated website has been launched as part of the appeal and it states more outlets should soon be added to its list of sellers of the eggs, which are collected from free-range hens.
