The Duchess of Cornwall has said that each and every one of us owe the brave boys and girls in Afghanistan an enormous debt of gratitude for the work they do in defending queen and country.
As she presented medals to her regiment 4th Battalion The Rifles at Bulford Camp, the Duchess praised the soldiers for their bravery and professionalism in tough circumstances.
The Duchess addressed 350 troops and their families at the Salisbury base, saying their efforts have been invaluable to the whole nation.
"You have forged an enviable and glittering reputation in your own right. You have made your Royal Colonel very proud, proud of you and proud to be British, and I believe this country owes you an enormous debt of gratitude," she stated.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Northumberland gave soldiers the thumbs up for all their work at a homecoming parade in Newcastle last week.
