Drunken moose ‘gets stuck in tree’

We've all been in a position where we've had a bit too much to drink and woken up in an unusual location.

But did you realise the same can happen to animals too?

Pictures show a moose in Sweden that gorged on a few too many fermented apples and tried to access more of the fruit in a tree.

As it was desperately trying to reach the alcoholic food, the moose became trapped in between the branches.

Per Johansson discovered the animal when he heard a loud roar leading him to its location and promptly phoned the police, who helped him rescue the beast.

Once free, the unharmed moose slumped on the ground and recovered before taking off – perhaps to nurse its sore head.

An individual who might be able to sympathise with the creature as it nurses a hangover is David Senk from Sacramento, US, who recently admitted he bit a python when he was under the influence, causing the snake to require stitches.
