A 19-year-old student is attempting to grab as many online votes as he can so he can help raise cash for Help for Heroes, it has been revealed.
Louis Duggan, who is studying for a degree in outdoor leadership at the University of Central Lancashire, has his sights set on the Drambuie Outdoor Pursuit Challenge, the Runcorn and Widnes Weekly News explained.
If his team is one of the five to be chosen, Mr Duggan will participate in white-water rafting, kayaking, mountain climbing and archery in an effort to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes.
Speaking to the newspaper he stated: "Not only do we get the chance to raise money for charity, but we also get to take part in some great outdoor activities."
The charity was chosen because two members of his team have links with the army.
Meanwhile, students and staff at the Colchester Institute recently helped to generate cash for Help for Heroes by taking part in a boot camp task.
