Donkey walks into Hampshire Tesco store

A Tesco Express store in the quiet New Forest village of Brockenhurst does not sound like the setting for an unusual event, but one certainly occurred this week when a donkey walked into the shop.

An eagle-eyed Twitter user managed to capture a photograph of the animal walking through the front entrance of the store.

Charlie Lambeth then uploaded the image to the social network, along with the caption: "Only in Brockenhurst."

The Twitter user went on to explain that the donkey had walked into the shop "as if it was nothing out of the ordinary", before it stood inside looking around at the shelves.

Unfortunately for the donkey, before it could make a move towards the retail outlet's apples, carrots or sugar lumps, it was ushered out of the door it came in through by the store manager.
