Dog show arranged in aid of Help for Heroes

A dog show at a nursery has entertained plenty of adults and children and raised money for Help for Heroes in the process.

South Hills School in Wilton allowed employees Zoe Peters and Imogen Dive to put on the show recently, with money being split between the military charity and The MS Trust, reports the Salisbury Journal.

Plenty of people turned up to put their dogs forward for a series of awards and prizes, with 45 rosettes available for the winners in a variety of categories.

Among the areas in which the dogs were judged were obedience, being the canine that the judges would most like to take home and who had the best handler.

Ms Dive explained: "The weather was good to us. The atmosphere was superb, friendly and fun with humans and canines having a natter over a bacon butty in between classes."

In total, the event raised £326 through refreshments, the raffle and class entry fees.
