A small cat has been made to look like a lion after it had to be shaved by a vet that was tasked with improving its condition.
Daisy, an 18-month-old long-tail Persian feline, had been suffering from tangled fur, and the only answer was for the vet to shave everything below her neck.
That has left the cat with mane-like locks on her head and extremely short fur all over the rest of her body.
Australian owner Ben Torode, 36, who likes in Tokyo, said: "Daisy really embraced her look after a few days. The lion cut has rekindled the popularity of her kitten days."
He went on to explain that Daisy loves to get down low and then pounce at toys from behind cover, which is a reflection of the sort of behaviour lions display in the wild.
However, there are only a few months to enjoy the look, as the fur is expected to grow back by winter.
