Dating through social media ‘no longer taboo’

There is no longer a taboo associated with using social media for dating.

This is the opinion of social media strategist Tiffany St James, who said it is now commonplace for people to try to hook up through the medium.

Speaking to Female First, she remarked that thanks to the boom in usage single individuals are "connecting in different ways, finding different groups of people that they're connecting with and they can make friends quite easily".

If people are going to meet up with someone from the internet, then it is a good idea to check out their Twitter feed to find out the types of activities they are interested in.

Ms St James went on to note Twitter offers a "flavour of how social" a person is going to be.

Moving forward, the expert expects the medium to continue to grow in popularity and this is going to be augmented by the creation of a range of dating apps.
