A special dance night is being organised to help raise money for soldiers injured while fighting overseas.
Stotfold local resident Bridget Smith is organising the spectacle and it is to be staged at Stotfold Memorial Hall, Biggleswade Today reports.
The fundraiser said she is hopeful the evening will generate more than £1,000 for Help for Heroes, which she chose as recognition for the important work the British armed forces carry out abroad.
She noted: "I have collected for the charity and donated the money I have made from table-top sales I have been involved in at St Mary's Church in Stotfold too."
Army personnel will be on hand to give a speech at the gathering, which will take place on February 19th.
TheStar.co.uk recently reported a group of cyclists are to pedal from Morecambe to Bridlington – a 179 mile journey – to raise money for the Help for Heroes cause.
