Confidence ‘the key to becoming a champion flirt’

Women looking to attract hot soldiers should try and boost their confidence in order to become a champion flirt, an expert has claimed.

Sue Ostler, relationship author and the Metro’s Flirt Diva, says the best way to boost a girl’s chances are to take up every invitation and really work at their social skills.

Confidence is the key to making the relevant body language and banter become more fluid, natural and effective, she claims.

It is not a one-size-fits-all scenario though, she claims, as people flirt for lots of different reasons and in many ways.

Ms Ostler says: "Some [flirt] because it’s fun, some because they can and some because they genuinely want to ignite a romance."

Recent research by the University of Portsmouth claims that honing flirting skills could be the key to getting a hot soldier.

Evolutionary psychologist Dr Edward Morrison says: "The face is where we exhibit our most explicit signals – it’s the human equivalent of the peacock’s tail."
