Volunteers in Newbury are due to come together this weekend to hold a Colossal Cake Sale in aid of Help for Heroes.
Newbury MP Richard Benyon and his wife, Zoe, are set to be among those selling cakes and other baked goods in support of the charity, reports the Newbury Weekly News Group.
They will sell homemade cakes between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturday (March 29th) outside the Camp Hopson department store in Northbrook Street.
Claire McIntosh, a spokeswoman for the volunteers, said: "Please help us by baking a cake, whipping up fudge or creating cupcakes, or support us on the day by buying something delicious."
She added that every penny raised on Saturday will be donated to Help for Heroes, which is extremely grateful for such support.
The good cause works to help military personnel who leave the services with a physical or psychological injury.
