A Christmas appeal taking place on a barge located on the River Thames is taking place to raise money for wounded troops.
The initiative is a joint venture between the Sun newspaper, Cory Environmental and waste and recycling equipment supplier JCB, Letsrecycle.com reports.
Moored between Waterloo and Blackfriars bridges, the vessel has been adorned with Christmas trees, banners promoting the scheme and even two JCB diggers.
The project hopes to encourage members of the public to text in donations for the cause and take part in an online auction.
Bryn Parry, one of the founders of the organisation, said there is "a range of projects we are working on and this appeal will help pay for 200 festive stockings to be supplied to the service men and women at Headley Court".
The Coventry Telegraph recently reported that cadets from the 2438 (Bishop Ullathorne) Squadron Ait Training Corps will be wrapping Christmas presents for the public to generate cash for Help for Heroes.
