Most people like a bit of pork for their dinner.

Some farmers think if pigs are treated well during their lives then it will make for a nicer bit of meat.

However, one location in China is taking this a bit too far and has created a colourful village for its inhabitants.

Some 600 pigs in Weiji, Suining, are getting to use toys, can roam around the woods for nine hours a day and have had their accommodation painted.

Agricultural officer Hu Juchun said: "A good environment will leave pigs in a good mood and keep them healthy and it's therefore logical that the pork will be better."

He added as well as making for tastier pork, it has also turned into something of a tourist spot.

It all seems a bit far fetched and just goes to show you how some farmers will go to extreme lengths in their search for perfection.
