A charity football tournament has been held to help raise money for soldiers injured while serving their country.
The event took place at Arsenal Football Club's training ground in Shenley and nearly £800 was raised – which is to be donated to the Help for Heroes cause, the Watford Observer reports.
Hertsmere mayor and Bushey councillor Linda Silver chose the charity and attended the spectacle with her husband Geoffrey.
Ms Silver observed: "It was great to see council officers and other players come together to raise money for such a good cause."
She added the atmosphere at the get-together was fantastic from the beginning until the end, with people showing their generosity throughout.
The evening included an auction that saw a signed Arsenal shirt and ball up for grabs.
A 24-hour football competition recently resulted in staff and pupils from Halliford School generating more than £2,500 for Help for Heroes, Staines News reported.
