A charity film is being made by a former army reservist in a bid to raise much-needed funds for Help for Heroes.

Connor Richardson, 22, was a reservist in the military for 4.5 years until he left just four months ago to take up a new career as a personal trainer.

His film, Chosen, follows the life of a main character called Alex, who leaves the army, reports the Gazette & Herald.

He is hoping the Marlborough community get involved and he would like local people from his hometown of West Kennett to help him create it.

"We're looking for anyone who is keen to be involved: extras, media, makeup artists, even if someone just has a car they'd like to see in the film," Mr Richardson explained.

The budding film producer will star in the movie as Alex and he is aiming to premiere his work at Marlborough Town Hall in June next year.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801647052-ADNFCR
