The fast food market is hardly known as a sector filled with healthy options, but two burger chains have taken their products to all new levels of unhealthy recently as they launch new menu options sure to raise eyebrows worldwide.

KFC in South Korea has launched a new burger that will surely be the dream for the last few people still trying out the Atkins diet, even if it is a bit heavy on the calorie front. Known as the Zinger Double Down King, and exclusive to the nation, the new burger has completely done away with the traditional concept of a bread bun.

In place of the bun, KFC has added two of its famous breaded fried chicken breasts. Between the two slabs of chicken sits a sizeable beef patty. And as if that wasn't enough meaty pleasure for buyers, the burger also features bacon, along with cheese, mayonnaise and barbecue sauce.

While the Zinger Double Down King might raise some eyebrows, though, one US based burger chain seems to be attempting to outdo this outlandish product with a new offering of its own.

Philadelphia's PYT, which specialises in a range of out-of-this-world exclusive burgers, has now released a burger housed in a doughnut. Reportedly a homage to animated food fan Homer Simpson, the Bacon Cheeseburger D’oh Nut is just the latest in a long line of strange menu options at PYT.

The product on offer features a regular doughnut filled with cheese and ground beef burger. And as if that wasn't enough to entice you, the treat is then glazed and sprinkled with a topping of smoked bacon bits.

It sounds a little strange, but according to the company's own Instagram page, such ambitious constructions are nothing new. The French toast burger and the peanut butter and jelly burger are apparently already favourites with regulars. ADNFCR-2867-ID-801756396-ADNFCR
