Online daters have been urged to keep an open mind when reviewing potential matches on their chosen site.

Liz Marie, senior editor at WeLoveDates, has told the Huffington Post that one of her top tips is to accept dates with people who are not necessarily the right "type".

There is no point in restricting an online dating net so that it catches only those who tick certain boxes, as there are many more individuals who may not instantly appeal but could have something to offer.

Ms Marie went on to offer other pieces of advice, such as ensuring all first dates are in a public place and that a friend is told of the plans.

She also suggested that online dating should be a priority, so putting in as much time and effort as possible to find Mr or Mrs Right is a shrewd move. After all, love may not come to those who are not prepared to look hard for it.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801602652-ADNFCR
