A British couple must feel like the luckiest duo in the world after winning the EuroMillions…twice.
David and Kathleen Long from Scunthorpe scooped £1 million in 2013, and then again in 2015.

The couple beat odds of more than 283 billion to one after their second stroke of fortune.
Mr Long said that he “just knew it would be my turn again some day” after going public about their winnings.

He told reporters: "I just had a feeling it was going to be me," he said. "I tend to play when I know there are lots of prizes on the go. Last time I knew I had a good chance because there were 100 prizes of £1 million.

"Last Friday night I was passing the local shop and saw there were ten £1 million prizes on EuroMillions and a nice car and thought yeah I'll give that a go. Got to be worth a few lines and I got five using my usual numbers."

In addition, the couple also won a top-of-the-range Jaguar. The couple explained that they regularly check the television and went online to view the status of their entry.

They are the first people to win twice. A spokesman for Camelot claimed that in August 2013 Mr Long came nearly lost out on £1 million after his winning ticket ended up in the rubbish bin when they thought they had won just £2.70.

A spokesman for Camelot said: "This is an extraordinary situation where somebody's been fortunate enough to win twice. As you can imagine, we see winners who win once who are very, very shocked. It must be even more shocking to win twice."

Before scooping the jackpot, Mr Long had been a HGV lorry driver at C & C Transport in Scunthorpe for 23 years and went to work on the Monday morning as normal following the win.

He said that it has taken a long time for his newfound wealth to sink in.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801782314-ADNFCR
