Help for Heroes is set to benefit from a planned concert involving a brass band, as all the money will be donated to its efforts to support injured and wounded ex-servicemen and women.

Reeth Brass Band is taking part in the Harmonies for Heroes scheme, and it has announced a gig will take place on March 15th at Richmond School, reports the Northern Echo.

Bandmaster Paul Hutchinson said: "The band has always had connections with the military, and we have four or five retired service personnel playing with us at the moment."

He went on to suggest the concert should be good news for the Dales and will help to raise the profile of the area while raising some much-needed cash for the charity.

Other groups taking part in the Harmonies for Heroes project include the Military WAGS Choir in Catterick, which has already recorded a CD designed to generate funds for Help for Heroes.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801702192-ADNFCR
