The remarkable sight of a Boris Bike in The Gambia has been posted on Twitter – much to the amusement of thousands of users.
Mayor London Boris Johnson is famous for rolling out his public bike scheme in the UK capital and the city is now stocked with a supply of his iconic two-wheeled vehicles.
But the last place one would expect to see one is in the west African country, thousands of miles from London.
The image shows a Boris Bike being ridden on a track that runs past a building, as two children watch on.
It has raised a number of theories on how it might have reached The Gambia, while some Twitter users chose to focus on how its owner might go about returning it to London.
"Good luck finding a docking station," Metro quoted @iansanders as saying and Tom Edwards mused: "Some overcharge on that bad boy."
