Soldiers who have found their libido has taken a bit of a nosedive recently should book a flight to a sun-kissed paradise the next time they get a holiday, as new research shows sunbathing can give a bloke’s sex drive a boost.

According to a study at the Medical University of Graz, blokes with vitamin D levels of at least 30 nanograms per millimetre of blood have higher testosterone levels than those with small amounts of vitamin D.

Ad Brand, spokesman for the Sunlight Research Forum, said a couple of weeks of relaxing and sunbathing will see a guy’s sex drive perk up.

"Men who ensure that their body is at least sufficiently supplied with vitamin D are doing good for their testosterone levels and their libido among other things," he added.

According to the Boston Medical Group, having lots of sex is good for a man’s health, with lots of bedroom action creating more testosterone which helps to strengthen muscles and bones.
