A charity fundraiser requires help if his bike ride across two continents is to get back on track and continue to its conclusion.

Will Moore of Radcliffe-on-Trent is biking from London to Johannesburg, but his trek has run into trouble in Mali, where he has encountered a mechanical problem, reports the Nottingham Post.

His motorbike's suspension is broken and he is unable to advance any further until it is fixed.

However, he has used almost all of the cash available to him, so he is appealing to charitable individuals to help get him back on the road.

Mr Moore has raised more than £5,000 for Help for Heroes thanks to the challenge, but now needs another £300 to mend the suspension.

"One big downside is that my rear shock absorber has gone. It's unique and Suzuki don't sell this bike here, so I will have to courier a shock absorber from the UK," he explained.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801665489-ADNFCR
