Charity enthusiasts in the south-west are set to team up to hold a barbecue, with all of the money raised at the event due to be donated to Help for Heroes.
A host of serving soldiers are expected to make an appearance at the tasty event in Cam, which is set to take place on Saturday (August 31st), reports the South Cotswolds Gazette.
It will be held between 10am and 2pm on the green in Phillimore Road and, as well as the food, there will be a raffle, face painting and live music.
Fiona Edwards is organising the barbecue and choosing to donate the money it raises to Help for Heroes was an easy decision as she has been a long-term supporter of the charity.
"The sad thing is everyone knows people die or get hurt in the army but you expect it to be someone else, you never think it will be someone you know," she said.
