More than £600 has been donated to Help for Heroes thanks to a cake sale that was held at a bank in Sleaford.
The local branch of the Halifax bank decided to take part in the charity's Colossal Cake Sale scheme, which sees people sell off their baked goods in exchange for donations, reports the Sleaford Target.
In total, the event raised £613.37, all of which will go towards supporting injured and wounded ex-servicemen and women in the aftermath of conflicts.
Bank staff, customers and family members got baking to provide some cakes for the sale, while there was also a tombola and items for sale to further increase the takings.
Suzie Smith of Suzie Bear Cakes even opted to ice some special Help for Heroes cupcake bears to show her support for the charity.
Colossal Cake Sales are being held all over the country in a bid to raise cash for the good cause.
