Online daters should also avoid using old photographs of themselves, as there is no excuse for failing to have some new shots taken by a friend and the best angles chosen for publication.

Finally, there is little point in lying about the hobbies and activities that are loved by somebody using a dating site.

Many people choose to exaggerate in this area, but with online dating the key is to never pretend to be something you are not.
