A fete is due to be put on in Chaddesley Corbett this summer in a bid to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes.

Four siblings – all of whom have served in the armed forces – have come together to organise the event, which will take place on Saturday (August 10th), reports the Shuttle.

The family members have created a group called the Chaddesley Campaigners and in their five years of action have already raised in excess of £8,000 for Help for Heroes.

They are Royal Marine Lee Painter, Dawn Locking of the Royal Logistics Corps, 2nd Battalion Mercian Regiment Darrell Painter and former Army man Wesley Painter.

Commenting on the fete, Lee's wife Annie Painter said: "Each year it surprises us how much it grows and the more support and help we receive from kind people all wanting to help such a good cause."ADNFCR-2867-ID-801621959-ADNFCR
