Some £12,600 was raised for Alabare's armed forces veteran's project with the hosting of a charity dinner in Amesbury, Wiltshire.

A partnership between the charity Alabare and aircraft testing site MoD Boscombe Down led to the event being organised and it was held by the new Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire Sarah Troughton.

An army veteran gave an inspirational speech on the assistance he had received from the third sector group and how it has helped him move forward with his life.

There was also a charity auction, which saw a number of prizes go under the hammer, with all the proceeds going to Alabare.

A fishing trip, 24 hours on a warship, one week in a Spanish villa and a cruise down the River Thames in Havengore were all up for grabs.

In addition to this, a further £25,000 was raised with a 24-hour sleep out at Salisbury Cathedral attended by over 180 people.
