Participants of the annual Karting for Heroes pursuit showed how much they support soldiers by getting behind the wheel and racing.
The event took place on Saturday (May 21st) and was held at Buckmore Park in Kent. It hoped to beat the £8,000 raised last year in honour of Help for Heroes.
Teams spent three hours racing in the endurance experience, which was won by team Arcadius Sports.
Nathan Wright, James Fletcher, Ollie Millroy and Jordan Hill made up the winning group, beating their closest rivals by six laps.
Mr Wright, who competes alongside Mr Fletcher in the Formula Jedi series, says: "We had a fantastic time at this event, which was a lot of fun and supporting a fantastic cause."
The 19-year-old hopes to participate again in the future, saying he enjoyed the contest – despite the racing being "fierce" at times – as this was the first chance he had to join in with the feat.
