Most people like a bit of romance on their first date.

For others, you may have been dating for a while, but perhaps reached a point where you barely go out anymore, or that fiery passion has started to fizzle out a little with the passage of time.

Adding romance to your date doesn't have to be cliched or difficult, there are in fact, many simple ways to give your night out that little extra boost.

Dress up

This may sound simple, but you would be surprised by how much the simple act of glamming up can make a difference to the way you both feel.

If you have been on a few dates with your partner and are at the point where you are spending lots of nights in front of the telly together or going through the same old routines, why not put a bit more effort into it and get dressed up to go somewhere nice?

Rather than getting a little too comfortable in familiar environments, put on your Saturday best, and hit the town with some new ideas.

Not only will it make you feel sexier and more attractive – but your beau is likely to feel the same way….about you!

Go somewhere different

Why stick to the same pubs, clubs, bowling alleys or movie theatres? There is nothing more exciting than being a little more spontaneous, and stepping slightly outside of your comfort zone.

If you're tired of going to the same old places, and seeing the same old faces, why not drive or travel out of town to an alternative bar or embark upon a long walk somewhere out of the ordinary!

It'll give you both something new to talk about, and bring you both out of your shell a little.

Add candles

Nothing says 'a romantic night in' like a couple of candles. Candles have always been associated with romance and creates the perfect atmosphere, to make you both feel wanted and at ease.

So for a truly special evening, turn down the lights, turn up the music, set the candles alight and most of all, have fun!

Take a long walk

Ok, so this may seem kind of cliche, but there's no denying it: taking a long stroll through your local nature reserve or park is a wonderfully romantic way to spend time together.

Not only do you have the beautiful settings all around you – which in itself is conducive to romance – but it also gives you the opportunity to be together, chill out in ambient surroundings and hold hands, while you enjoy the company of the person you love.

Spend a weekend in

Sometimes all you need to add a bit of extra spice to your date is to go out somewhere new, as we mentioned earlier.

But for others, the opposite is needed. If you are regularly hitting the local pubs and clubs, or heading out to new terrains, why not take some time to truly be together and spend your weekend with each other instead?

Not only will it make it more likely that you won't be disturbed, but also gives you the time to cuddle up and enjoy movies together, cook for each other, talk and generally just spend time with one another.

The little things

It is not always the big romantic gestures that capture your partner's attention. The little things you do for each other can sometimes be far more romantic.

While this may not exactly fit into the 'date' category, it could include things such as bringing your partner breakfast in bed, cooking their favourite meal, taking them to a place you know they will really love and doing something that is really important to them.

Gifts

Then you have the classic romance gestures. Whether it is buying your other half a bouquet of flowers, serenading them, buying them a delicious box of chocolates, or ordering two tickets to Paris, there is no denying, it is likely to do wonders for your love life!ADNFCR-2867-ID-801791136-ADNFCR
