Most golf courses around the world have water hazards, but for the majority of golfers, having to deal with a hazard within the water hazard is not something they would anticipate on a round. However, at a recent golf in Florida, competitors had to give way to a rather unusual visitor.

At Myakka Pines Golf Club, play was temporarily halted when a 13 foot alligator took to the course and gave the competitors quite a start. Surprisingly, the arrival of a massive reptile on the green did very little to faze those in charge.

Owners said it was par for the course in the area, where alligators are commonplace. "If we stopped playing because of alligators, we’d never have golfers," said general manager Mickie Zada as the tournament went ahead after the slight delay.

After padding around the course and lazing around for a bit, the relaxed looking alligator was later seen heading back for cool waters, and golfers were able to get their irons out once again.

The Florida alligator isn't the only animal to be dominating the headlines this week, though, with a number of unwanted guests having left people surprised when they reared their heads. Just last week, a man in the UK was shocked when his Tesco delivery started to move around.

When he went for a closer inspection, a mouse darted out of the carrier bag on his kitchen floor and quickly scurried away. The company later paid for expert pest controllers to come and take away the unwanted house guest.

However, once again it's Australia that takes top spot when it comes to the crazy world of wildlife. Jared Smith, 22, from Sydney said he was preparing himself some lunch when he just happened to look into a box of cornflakes on the side counter.

Rather than seeing the cereal though, he was amazed to see a giant python staring back at him from inside the box!

"I peeked in the box, saw its head pop out, and that’s when I dropped my food on the counter and bolted for the door," he said of the two-metre long snake, which he could not believe had managed to squeeze into the tiny box.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801779438-ADNFCR
