New Milton is set to host its first Santa Family Fun Run in December, with the proceeds going to military charity Pilgrim Bandits. Taking place on December 3rd at 2.45pm, the event looks set to be a lot of fun.

Pilgrim Bandits was chosen as the nominated Mayor's Charity, with money from sponsorship being donated to help veterans and fund research into better prosthetic limbs. The charity works to improve the lives of those injured when serving in the Armed Forces, providing support and giving individuals the chance to take part in challenges, while also spreading the Pilgrim Bandits message.

The first ever New Milton Santa Family Fun Run will give families the chance to get involved and help to raise money for a worthy cause. The one-mile-run will lead all those taking part on a run around town, with people able to run or walk at their own pace, meaning it is a great activity for the whole family.

Racers will need to assemble at 2.45pm in the recreation ground ready to start the run at the traffic lights on Old Milton Road. You can pre-register for the event here, although you can also enter on the day at Dixon Stewart Solicitors at 72 High Street.

Advanced family tickets, which cover an adult and a child under the age of 11, cost £25, adult tickets are £20 and junior tickets for those aged between 12 and 16 are £10. Each ticket includes a completion medal and a Santa costume. Tickets cost the same amount on the day, but if you want to ensure a costume, it is a good idea to get your ticket in advance.

Andre Edwards from Pilgrim Bandits said: “This is a short fun race for the whole family and a great way to kick off Christmas. We’d like to thank New Milton Town Partnership along with Mayor Dave Hawkins for their support and for choosing Pilgrim Bandits as charity of the year. We look forward to seeing everyone there.”ADNFCR-2867-ID-801828897-ADNFCR
