Troops may be tempted to paint themselves as something of a Brad Pitt when writing their online dating profile but this is a massive mistake, according to one relationship guru.
Rochelle Peachey, an expert on the world of internet dating, told the Sun that the temptation to lie about age, height or attractiveness can – and probably will – come back to haunt you.
"If a woman wants to meet a tall man and you are 5ft 6, don’t lie about your height and think that she will be so taken with your charm and good looks she will fail to notice your stature, or lack of it," she said.
Something else soldiers should keep in mind is that negativity is a bad thing, so it is important to be "positive, friendly and sincere", Ms Peachey told the newspaper.
Speaking to The 33 News recently, Melody Brooke, a marriage and family therapist, said that women are likely to be pickier than blokes when it comes to choosing a possible partner.
