‘Be complimentary’ when dating online

Single soldiers who are interested in online dating need to be complimentary when making contact with a person.

This is because Andrea Bartz and Brenna Ehrlich – writing for CNN – observed this is a good way to get a response from someone.

"Praise is always an easy way to endear people to you," the pair noted.

As well as showcasing good manners, hot soldiers may be tempted to indicate in their email that they have read the person's profile.

"Everyone wants to feel like a unique and sparkly snowflake, so pick out something intriguing from [a] written profile," they added.

Other advice issued by the contributors – which could be used to secure a date – includes keeping any correspondence brief and ensuring the end of a statement is open and easy to reply to.

However, the pair concluded that there are no hard and fast rules when looking for love, merely guidelines that could help people to succeed.
