Warwickshire man's middle finger hedge attracts complaint

A man in Warwickshire has fallen foul of the law for his hedge.

As bizarre as it sounds, Richard Jackson received an order from the police to chop down his bush, which was shaped to look like a middle finger.

It seems someone failed to see the humour behind the design, even though it has been up for the last eight years.

"I was contacted by the police and they said the council had been in touch because somebody had complained to them about it. Apparently, one person was offended by it," Mr Jackson stated.

Neighbours in Tamworth and Staffordshire have started the Save the Bush campaign in an effort to stop it being chopped down and it remains to be seen whether or not this is going to be successful.

Mr Jackson is adamant that he won't alter the design and it will be interesting to see if he gives someone the middle finger as a rebuke.
