Group photos suggest that a person is not confident enough to stand alone and should therefore be avoided at all costs.
Additionally, Jo Blackwell of New York's Dopdop Salon, advises that it is important to use contrast in the photo, for instance, if a person has pale skin, they should wear a dark shirt.
While balding is a bone of contention for many men, they shouldn't try and cover this up on internet dating or social networking sites: "Stop trying to pretend it isn't happening. If you can embrace it, no one else will care," the site states.
A recent study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships revealed that men are more likely to lie in online descriptions of themselves than women.
