The three musketeers: Meet the man with two permanent girlfriends

They say that two is company, but three's a crowd, but not for one group in Los Angeles.

While many singletons would happily settle down with their other half and become a couple, very few have entertained the idea of being part of a "throuple" – as Adam Lyons and his two girlfriends have.
Adam, from London, hit the headlines after hooking up with Brooke Shedd, 26, and Jane Shalakhova, 25, and living formally as a trio.

Adam and Brooke have recently given birth to a baby boy – Danté who will be raised by all three adults.

Speaking to reporters, Brooke, who also has a child from a previous relationship, explained: "With two partners, I'll never have to leave my kids with someone I don't trust.

"Danté and Oliver will grow up seeing Adam, Jane and I being affectionate and caring for each other. I think that's amazing."

The trio also share a super-king-size bed and take turns in having romantic nights with each other.

All of this is something of a turnaround for Brooke who insisted that he was never that lucky with women at school.

In fact, he said that his classmates even voted him as the one who would be "least likely to get a girlfriend".

Undoubtedly, those classmates may be eating their words now, as not only has Brooke garnered the attention of the two women but he also has his own dating agency in which he explains to other men how to do it.

He said: "At high school, I was voted the least likely to ever get a girlfriend. I believed that no girl would ever want me so I withdrew into myself. I became a nerd who stayed at home all day."

However, his turnaround came when he worked as a janitor and he decided to try and change his luck with the ladies.

He added: "I started reading about pick-up artists and how you can use psychology to make yourself more attractive. I would practice by standing in Leicester Square at lunchtime and after work, trying to get girls' phone numbers as they walked past.

"In no time, I was sleeping with amazing women I could only have dreamed of back at school."

My Lyons became so successful that he now runs the popular YouTube channel AFCAdamLondon.

However, he told reporters that fairly soon, he grew tired of his "Hugh Hefner lifestyle" and started to look for more serious endeavors.

Sometime later he met Alexandra at a nightclub and fell in love. Five years later, they got married and settled in Texas, where Alexandra is from. 

However, her reluctance to have children created problems in the relationship, although at that point, the couple still wanted to remain together.

Soon, they started to explore the idea of a polygamous relationship.

My Lyons explained: "I wanted to have kids as soon as possible but Alexandra had no interest in having any yet.
"The baby issue started causing other problems in our relationship. But Alexandra and I still loved each other and we didn't want to get a divorce.

"Alexandra and I figured that if we had a polyamorous marriage, then perhaps we would have a better chance of staying together.

"Alexandra started sleeping with a few different guys and I started dating a woman I met in a bar. It was great!

The union bought the couple together and Adam soon became friends with some of the men that Alexandra was seeing.

Brooke entered the picture soon after, when Alexandra suggested that Adam sleep with her. The two began to sleep with each other on a regular basis.

This prompted Adam to stop seeing the other women he met before Alexandra, and eventually he stopped seeing Alexandra as well.

He said: "It soon became clear that Brooke and I were in love. Alexandra still didn't want children anytime soon and she'd also begun dating a guy that she really liked too.

"Alexandra and I had a long chat and in late 2012, we decided to amicably separate. She moved into her own place with the man she was dating and I moved in with Brooke and her son, Oliver."

However, although Brooke and Adam were pleased to finally be together, the idea of a monogamous relationship didn't appeal to either them.

It was then that they began to pick up girls to have sex with. After spending many nights together, they decided to look for another woman to permanently join their relationship.

It was then that they met photographer, Jane, in a nightclub in Texas and immediately hit it off with her.

Brooke added: "There was an immediate spark with Jane – she was super fun and very intelligent.

"I knew that sex could have happened that first night but I really liked Jane and I didn't want to push her into anything. I wanted to see whether this could be something more."

After a while, things took off between the three and Adam and Brooke then introduced Jane into their son Oliver's life.

Jane added: "It's like imagine you meet your soulmate. Now multiply that by two! It's twice the love."

Eventually, they all bought a house together and Jane even added that she too may one day have children as part of the trio.

The throuple also added that they may even introduce a fourth woman into the mix.

Brooke added: "We are committed to each other. But we would be open to adding another person if we met another girl who we liked and fitted into our lifestyle. It's not something we're concerned about at the moment, you can't instantly introduce someone to your life.

"In the same way that it's hard to find one person to commit your life to – there's three of us who have to agree to the next person."
