A summer festival has welcomed hundreds of military heroes who were injured during their service abroad.
Some 300 wounded, injured and sick heroes were entertained by musicians at the Help for Heroes Recovery Centre Tedworth House.
The festival was hailed a success, with a huge turnout despite the rain. Members of Help for Heroes Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters community turned up to support the event to support those with a career limiting/ending injury or illness attributable to service.
Speaking about the event, Giles Woodhouse, head of Recovery South, said: "Events such as these allow our wounded, injured and sick to come together and have the opportunity to socialise with others in similar situations and facing similar challenges.
"Family support is something we care passionately about at Help for Heroes and our Summerfest allows the WIS community to enjoy a fun day out with their loved ones. We appreciate that spending time as a family unit is often difficult to achieve, which is why these events are so important.
"Our Summer Fete and Tedfest last year was hugely successful but, despite the rain, I think we managed to even surpass that this year."
He added that the festival helped to bring communities together, and had a "really special" atmosphere.
A number of activities were held throughout the day for both adults and children.
